Manufacturing company in Andover, MA is hiring a Technical Support Supervisor of Manufacturing Equipment.


Salary: $90k - $110K

Shift: 2nd, 2pm to 11pm, Monday - Friday

Location: Andover, MA


Summary: Responsible for all aspects of technical support for all mechanical and electrical machinery including daily maintenance and support, as well as preventative maintenance for all product lines. The Technical Support Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a technical support team, manages staff, and ensures the timely and effective resolution of production equipment issues.


Job Description:

The successful candidate will have experience supervising/maintaining a highly automated 7X24 operation and will be held accountable for meeting Mangers objectives of Production support, PM Compliancy, Labor Utilization, inventory control, and database accuracy. The candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and people supervising skills and have the ability to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced environment. They must communicate well with production on priorities, scheduling, and status of down equipment. Specific responsibilities include:  


  • Communicates with employees on a monthly basis through group meetings
  • Provides feedback to the Technical Support Manager on Strategic Initiatives for the organization
  • Reviews Preventive Maintenance intervals and backlog for pm compliancy
  • Reviews equipment aging to propose replacement/repair options to reduce our exposure as equipment goes beyond its estimated useful life
  • Establish a working environment that promotes continuous improvement and high morale.
  • Working with production on scheduling maintenance and priorities aligned with production goals


***Not necessarily looking for a hands on / technical supervisor but should be generally mechanically inclined to help with troubleshooting. Will work closely with the Technical Support Manager to meet production support, PM compliancy, labor utilization and database accuracy objectives***


Education / Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's degree in business management or Equivalent Experience

•  Minimum of 8-10 years’ production experience

•  Strong team-based attitude

•  Experience in implementing or enhancing teams

•  Demonstration experience with cross-functional teams

•  Strong communication and leadership skills

•  Good problem-solving skills

•  Good understanding of critical equipment metrics

•  3- 5 years Maintenance/Support Experience

•  5-7 years in a Manufacturing Environment
