HiFyve is hiring a Manufacturing CNC Process Engineer in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!

Pay Rate: $100-115K/yr

Shift: 1st Shift 7 am to 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and improve machining processes for efficient fabrication of parts, assemblies, and finished products.
  • Analyze and improve existing machining processes to reduce waste, decrease downtime, and improve productivity.
  • Create manufacturing estimates for sale proposals from engineering documentation.
  • Determine machining sequences, feed and speed rates, and design fixturing and tooling for new products.
  • Review engineering drawings for manufacturability, assembly, and quality (DFMA/DFQ).
  • Solicit feedback from engineers, operators, and assemblers to improve manufacturing methods.
  • Support in expanding in-house fabrication capabilities and deployment of new tools/equipment.
  • Analyze, resolve, and assist operators in solving manufacturing problems.

Education Requirements:

  • 7+ years of precision machine shop experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in CNC milling and turning operations.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software, machining principles, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, safety rules, and operating/maintenance instructions.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Skilled in mathematical concepts, including fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, probability, and trigonometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Experience in programming, setting up, and operating precision CNC machinery.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing methods, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ability to schedule, plan, and inform others on technical information.
  • Epicor ERP experience is a plus.
