EDM MACHINIST - DAY SHIFT

Schedule: Day shift, flexible hours

Pay: $35-42/hrdepending on experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A precision machining job shop serving aerospace, defense, medical and microelectronics customers is adding an EDM Machinist. The role is primarily wire EDM, with some sinker EDM work. Parts are short run, tight tolerance and different every day, in an AS9100D and ISO 9001 certified shop.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Set up and run wire EDM machines to produce high precision parts to print
• Run sinker EDM as needed
• Plan work holding and setups, and adjust offsets and cutting conditions
• Inspect your own parts in process and at final using precision measuring tools
• Read blueprints, technical drawings and work orders
• Maintain EDM equipment and keep your work area in good order

WHAT YOU NEED

• Proven wire EDM setup and operation experience; sinker EDM experience is a plus
• Ability to hold very tight tolerances on short run work
• Job shop, tool room or mold shop background strongly preferred
• Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills
• A steady work history
• Must be a U.S. person (work involves ITAR controlled technical data)

Clean, modern job shop. Machinists own their parts from setup through inspection and are encouraged to bring ideas on fixturing and process.
