HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support machining and assembly operations!
Salary: $25.00 – $38.00 per hour (BOE) + Quarterly Bonuses
Shift: 3rd Shift, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Location: Mexico, MO
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
• Provide technical support for machining and assembly operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving PLCs, CNC machines, electronic equipment, and automated systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain 480-volt electrical systems and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
PLC, CNC, and Technical Skills:
• Troubleshoot and program PLC systems as required.
• Troubleshoot, program, and support CNC equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic equipment issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, machine control schematics, and technical documentation.
• Apply technical, mechanical, mathematical, and scientific skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
Machining and Fabrication:
• Perform basic machining operations using milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support maintenance and production operations.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment to repair, modify, and maintain machinery.
Problem Solving and Process Support:
• Participate in problem-solving activities to identify root causes of equipment and production issues.
• Facilitate problem-solving meetings when necessary.
• Make effective decisions regarding equipment repairs, maintenance activities, and production support.
• Work with Operations and other departments to identify and resolve technical and equipment-related issues.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Communicate technical information clearly and effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments.
• Provide verbal and written updates regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations.
• Train and assist team members with maintenance-related procedures and technical issues.
• Participate in meetings, training, presentations, and other activities as required.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Quality and Safety:
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Support quality standards and production requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance and production areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs, CNCs, and electronic equipment
• Demonstrated 480-volt electrical systems experience and troubleshooting skills
• Strong hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities
• Basic machining skills, including milling, grinding, and lathe operations
• Basic welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machine control schematics
• Strong computer, technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong mathematical and decision-making abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
• Ability to facilitate problem-solving meetings
• Ability and willingness to use manufacturing ERP systems
Education and Experience Requirements
Required:
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial maintenance
• Degree or certificate in a related technical field
Preferred:
• Die casting industry experience
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems
• Additional training or experience in PLC programming, CNC equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics
