HiFyve is hiring a Building & Machine Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility!

Salary: $24.93/hour

Shift Options:

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM (+$2.00/hour shift differential)

3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM (+$2.50/hour shift differential)

Location: St. Louis, MO

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all plant equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic control, and safety systems.
• Maintain and repair facility systems including electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, compressed air, and carpentry.
• Build, modify, and install machinery and equipment to support new product launches and production improvements.
• Design, install, and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems for new and existing equipment.
• Fabricate, weld, braze, and machine replacement parts using hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit diagrams.
• Improve manufacturing processes by developing equipment that increases production rates, reduces process variation, and enhances ergonomics.
• Install machine guards and other safety devices to maintain compliance with plant safety standards.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance activities while maintaining accurate repair records and tracking equipment repair costs.
• Operate forklifts after successful completion of forklift certification and required vision examination.
• Assist other departments with maintenance and equipment-related projects as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
• Welding and brazing experience preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete a 12-month training program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
• Ability to maintain and repair plant equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficient with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, diagnostic equipment, and most tool room machinery.
• Experience with fabrication, welding, brazing, and machine repair.
• Ability to develop material lists, specify replacement parts, and track project costs.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices and equipment reliability.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good safety record and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification and pass required vision screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent climbing, bending, crouching, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials.
• Ability to lift up to 30+ lbs. as required.
• Frequent use of hands and wrists for repetitive maintenance tasks.
• Comfortable working at heights when necessary.
• Ability to work in manufacturing environments with continuous noise exposure and varying temperatures, including hot summer and cold winter conditions.
