HiFyve is hiring a Field Service Technician in Livonia, MI.


Pay: $97K-$124K


Full Benefits Package including company credit card, cell phone and computer.


The Field Service Technician is responsible for managing and performing field service activities, including installing, maintaining, and servicing new and existing equipment. This role requires extensive travel to customer facilities, both domestically and internationally, and involves managing large equipment installations, mechanical work, and communication with various stakeholders.



Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct extensive travel to and from customer facilities in North America, with occasional international travel- up to 85% travel.
  • Manage large equipment installations, coordinating with rigging contractors and other contracted personnel.
  • Perform mechanical work such as welding, piping fitting, and general assembly to prepare equipment for startup and commissioning.
  • Conduct mechanical work for rebuilding, maintaining, or servicing existing equipment.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to plan upcoming field service installations and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on progress, address issues, and report completion status.
  • Provide feedback to sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to facilitate continuous improvement of installations and field service projects.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties as required by the Manufacturing Manager.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage travel schedules, project timelines, and equipment installations.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in the field.
  • Ability to read blueprints to understand equipment specifications and installation requirements.
  • Experience in welding, pipe fitting, and general assembly, with the ability to use rigging and other heavy equipment.
  • Electrical knowledge is a plus.
