HiFyve is hiring a Precision Grinder (Jig, Surface, and OD) in the manufacturing industry!

Salary: Up to $33/hour

Shift: Flexible schedule

Location: Plymouth or Maple Grove MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate grinding machines such as jig grinders, surface grinders, and outside diameter (OD) grinders to shape and finish metal or other materials with high precision.
• Set up, adjust, and run grinding machines according to specifications and blueprints.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain and clean grinding machines and tooling to ensure proper operation and quality.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of production and quality inspections.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience operating precision grinding machines (jig, surface, OD) in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
