About the Role
Join a growing food and beverage manufacturing facility as a Production Supervisor responsible for leading hourly production employees on an overnight shift. This role focuses on driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee development while ensuring production goals are achieved in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support production employees to achieve daily safety, quality, and production objectives
- Coordinate daily staffing assignments and workflow to maximize operational efficiency
- Oversee manufacturing processes including receiving, processing, mixing, filling, packaging, storage, and related production activities
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance support when issues arise to minimize downtime
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, conducting incident investigations, and supporting safety initiatives
- Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, sanitation, and quality standards throughout the production process
- Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand while ensuring materials and packaging are available for scheduled production
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with Human Resources and plant leadership on employee relations, coaching, performance management, and corrective actions
- Conduct shift meetings and maintain clear communication with production teams regarding priorities and operational updates
- Complete supervisory responsibilities including timekeeping review, performance evaluations, employee development, promotions, and training
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably within food or beverage production
- Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations, production workflows, and continuous improvement principles
- Experience with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team-building skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
