HiFyve is working with a company in St. Paul, MN that is hiring for a Maintenance Manager in the food and beverage industry.


Salary: $110k-$145k + bonus

Responsibilities

  • Lead a maintenance department to ensure all equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain equipment per manufacturer specifications and tolerances.
  • Establish performance standards and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Serve as the primary contact for emergency maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering and management on equipment modifications or replacements to optimize operations and lower costs.
  • Analyze proposals and cost studies for new equipment and provide recommendations.
  • Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies to support operations.
  • Implement cost-control measures affecting repair, utility, pretreatment, and maintenance budgets.
  • Keep management informed about equipment and facility performance issues.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and codes for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Develop and enforce maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Schedule maintenance tasks to maximize preventive and repair services while minimizing overtime.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution in collaboration with HR.


Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supervising a maintenance team with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order tracking and asset management.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document creation, data analysis, and communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, preventive maintenance, and reliability best practices.
  • Experience with high-temperature sterilization and aseptic packaging technologies is highly desired.
