HiFyve is seeking a hands-on General Manager of Key Projects to lead a dynamic precision manufacturing business unit based in Kansas City. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the technical and operational demands of manufacturing, and can build strong relationships with high-profile customers. No two days will look the same—this is a role for someone who enjoys being deeply involved at every level of execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for key customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Strategic Leadership: Guide the business unit’s direction, contributing to planning, projections, and growth strategies.
  • Project Oversight: Evaluate projects, support quoting, and manage outsourced services to ensure feasibility and profitability.
  • Engineering Review: Interpret technical drawings and specifications with GD&T expertise to support project requirements.
  • Certification Management: Maintain compliance with all required certifications (e.g., ITAR, DDTC, ISO, NAP 401).
  • Quality Assurance: Champion on-time delivery and top-tier quality across all operations—whatever it takes.
  • Machining Expertise: Provide hands-on support and insight for machining decisions and equipment needs.
  • Project Management: Lead daily project reviews to ensure consistent progress and issue resolution.
  • Operational Excellence: Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  •   7+ years of experience in precision manufacturing, engineering, or machining
  •   Strong background in project management and customer service
  •   Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  •   Experience with manufacturing certifications (ITAR, ISO, etc.)
  •   Familiarity with GD&T and technical documentation
  •   Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
