Salary: $32 - $42/hr, based on experience

Schedule: Day Shift

Location: Onsite - Meriden, CT

Position Overview:

HiFyve is hiring an experienced Tool Maker / Precision Machinist for an aerospace manufacturer in Meriden, CT.

This is a true toolroom opportunity for someone capable of taking complex work from blueprint through finished product while supporting high-precision aerospace manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain precision tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges
• Set up and operate CNC milling equipment, including multi-axis machines
• Machine complex components from blueprint to finished product
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
• Perform tight-tolerance machining and inspection
• Use micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
• Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues
• Partner with engineering and quality on tooling and process improvements



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 5+ years of tool making, tool & die, or precision machining experience
• Strong CNC milling setup and machining background
• Multi-axis / 5-axis machining experience preferred
• Strong blueprint and GD&T skills
• Experience machining to tight tolerances
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring and inspection tools
• Aerospace or AS9100 experience preferred
• Matsuura or Niigata equipment experience is a plus
