HiFyve is hiring a Mold PM Technician/Toolmaker in the Manufacturing industry in Conroe, TX!

Salary: $26/hr + Quarterly Bonus

Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Location: Conroe, TX

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Mold Preventative Maintenance Technician:

• Retrieve molds from storage and prepare them for molding per the production schedule.
• Perform mold preventative maintenance (PM) based on priority.
• Prepare molds for storage and properly place them in designated areas.
• Maintain detailed documentation and logs of all mold activity and PM history.
• Work with the Molding Department to schedule PMs while avoiding production conflicts.
• Assist with job planning related to tooling projects.
• Suggest and implement improvements to efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Set up necessary equipment and machinery.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement events.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, GMPs, and documentation standards.

Toolmaker:

• Prepare molds for production.
• Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints to determine machine operations and finish requirements.
• Inspect tools for defects and perform necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.
• Select and utilize proper shop equipment, precision measurement devices, and other necessary tools.
• Perform precision machining work to exacting tolerances and dimensions.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 1-3 years of experience working with plastic injection molds.
• Experience maintaining injection molds, hot runner systems, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Safety-focused mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
