HiFyve is hiring an Operations Manager in the Chemical Manufacturing industry in Sunray, TX!


Salary: $120K-$135K

Shift: Full-Time

Location: Sunray, TX (relocation available)


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct safe, reliable, and economical operations at the facility, ensuring compliance with contracts, permits, and regulations.
  • Commission and oversee startup of prime application engine-generators and related plant equipment, including heat recovery boilers.
  • Provide technical guidance during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and testing phases to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Supervise and develop facility staff, implementing training programs in operations, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and manage facility budgets, operating plans, and variance reports.
  • Oversee maintenance planning, execution, and reporting, including management of plant outages.
  • Optimize plant performance by effectively utilizing manpower, equipment, and resources.
  • Recommend and implement plant upgrades to improve reliability, performance, and safety, supported by cost-benefit analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory commitments.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain an Oklahoma Boiler Operators License.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Significant experience in operations and maintenance within the chemical manufacturing or power plant sectors.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a demonstrated ability to drive change.
  • In-depth understanding of plant operations, maintenance functions, and environmental regulations.
  • Technical problem-solving abilities, including interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and contract evaluation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel 25%-50% domestically as required.
  • Past experience with large-frame gas turbines is a plus.
