Salary: $80,000–$90,000/year + 5% Bonus

Shift: Nights | 3:00 PM–3:00 AM | 2-2-3 Schedule

Location: Zumbrota, MN

About the Role

This role is responsible for leading production operations within a dairy manufacturing facility, overseeing employees, driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring production goals are met.


Job Responsibilities

• Supervise production operations including wet processing, spray drying, filling, and packaging

• Lead, coach, and develop production employees while managing daily staffing and work assignments

• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, SQF, sanitation, quality, and regulatory requirements

• Monitor production efficiency, product quality, and employee safety throughout the shift

• Coordinate production schedules and labor resources to meet operational goals

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime

• Utilize Continuous Improvement tools such as A3, PDCA, and Daily Management Systems (DMS) to drive performance improvements

• Review production metrics and develop action plans to improve safety, quality, and productivity

• Complete production documentation using SAP, Kronos, and other plant systems

• Support audits including SQF, USDA, GMP, EHS, and other regulatory inspections

• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Plant Leadership to support plant operations

• Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture while investigating accidents and near misses


Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment preferred

• Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory compliance

• Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as A3, PDCA, Lean, or similar tools

• Experience using SAP preferred

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
