HiFyve is hiring a Master Maintenance Technician (Utilities) in the Manufacturing industry in St. Paul, MN!

Salary: $40.00+ / hour

Shift: 6 AM – 6 PM, 2-2-3 rotation

Location: St. Paul, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance and repairs on production, packaging, and utility systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and GMPs.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess equipment reliability and performance.
  • Interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades.
  • Support installation of new equipment and system improvements.
  • Assist and train machine operators to reduce downtime and improve troubleshooting skills.
  • Utilize appropriate hand and power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic devices to complete mechanical and electrical tasks safely.
  • Communicate effectively with departments to report maintenance issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Accurately complete documentation for maintenance work and maintain equipment history records.
  • Stay informed on new technologies, systems, and maintenance practices.

Education Requirements

  • First Class B Boiler Engineer License (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Trade or technical school graduation preferred in areas such as mechanical, electrical, PLCs, refrigeration, or related fields

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 4–6 years of industrial maintenance experience, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems
  • Proficient in troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, and automated systems; experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Skilled in the safe use of hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments
