Position Overview
HiFyve is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high equipment uptime. This hands-on role will lead a team of skilled maintenance technicians, providing direction, troubleshooting support, and expertise for plant equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, Servos, and HMIs.
Job Responsibilities

Lead and direct the day-to-day activities of the maintenance workforce.
- Provide direction and assign maintenance tasks to technicians while overseeing quality of work performed.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to review and optimize planning and scheduling.
- Coordinate and communicate maintenance schedules and activities with operations to minimize equipment downtime.

Evaluate technician skills and recommend training or development opportunities as needed.
- Oversee inventory management of spare parts and supplies to support maintenance activities.

Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs for critical equipment.
- Provide hands-on leadership for mechanical repairs, installations, and capital improvement projects.
- Supervise the electrical setup and installation of new or relocated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, including servo motors, pumps, gearboxes, steam, and ammonia systems.
- Analyze equipment issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage technician schedules, timecards, and work assignments.
Required Competencies

Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems effectively.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to supervise and train maintenance staff while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, charts).

Technical knowledge of PLCs, digital/analog sensors, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
- Experience with servo motors, encoders, gearboxes, pumps, steam, and ammonia systems.
- Effective project management and planning skills.
Education & Experience
-
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a maintenance role.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience in food facilities is a plus.
- Experience with blow molding, ammonia systems, and boiler systems is a plus.
- Prior union experience is also a plus.
