HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry in Minneapolis!


Salary: $90,000–$100,000 base + 5% target bonus

Shift: Monday–Friday, 3rd Shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Weekends as needed

Location: Minneapolis, MN

About the Role

This position oversees third-shift maintenance operations, leading a team of technicians to support equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and safe plant operations. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with site leadership to drive uptime, support continuous improvement, and develop maintenance personnel.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise third-shift maintenance technicians in a union environment
  • Prioritize, assign, and oversee daily work orders and emergency repairs
  • Serve as first point of contact for after-hours maintenance requests
  • Utilize CMMS (Micromen) for work planning, PM execution, and documentation
  • Ensure preventative maintenance work orders are completed on schedule
  • Troubleshoot and support electrical and mechanical issues across plant equipment
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for breakdowns and failures
  • Assist with capital projects and planned downtime activities
  • Coordinate with inventory teams to maintain spare parts availability
  • Train, mentor, and coach maintenance employees on procedures and equipment
  • Complete supervisory duties including timekeeping review, performance evaluations, and employee development
  • Enforce safety, GMP, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environments
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience, including union environments
  • Strong electrical experience required (motor control circuits up to 480V, 3-phase)
  • PLC troubleshooting experience required; Allen Bradley strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot ladder logic (editing a plus)
  • Experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment such as fillers, blow mold machines, conveyors, compressors, palletizers, boilers, and refrigeration systems
  • Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) and CMMS experience required (Micromen preferred)
  • Ammonia refrigeration, boiler, wastewater, HVAC, welding, or fabrication experience is a plus
  • Strong commitment to safety, GMPs, and regulatory compliance
