HiFyve is hiring a CNC Press Brake Set Up Operator in the Manufacturing industry!
Salary: $35-45/hr
Shift: 1st shift M-Th 6a-3p Fri 6a-noon
Location: St. Paul, MN
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Expertly set up, configure, and operate CNC press brake machines to bend, cut, shape, and form metal.
- Perform complex machine set-ups and programming; follow dispatch display to prioritize jobs.
- Stage all required materials so production starts efficiently without delay.
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, protractors, etc.) to verify dimensions and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Conduct basic visual inspections for material defects and identify materials using tags or labels.
- Follow all safety procedures and compliance guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
- Train and mentor Level I & II CNC Press Brake Set Up Operators.
- Record and capture work instructions to ensure consistent and accurate job operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in operating CNC press brake machines and interpreting complex blueprints.
- Attention to detail to ensure precision in measurements and finished products.
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting pressing process issues independently.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
- Effective time management to meet production schedules.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to see, hear, and perform tasks requiring close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent standing, walking, and hand use; ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks over long shifts.
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
