HiFyve is hiring a Chemical Loader to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced chemical processing environment!

Salary: $23–$25/hr (BOE)

Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, 2-2-3 schedule

Location: Detroit, MI

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload bulk chemicals from tankers, railcars, totes, and drums
• Transfer materials using pumps, valves, hoses, and material-handling equipment
• Collect, label, and submit chemical samples for testing
• Verify materials against work orders and maintain accurate documentation
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools
• Follow all safety, PPE, and hazardous-material requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA)
• Inspect hoses, connections, and loading systems for leaks or equipment issues
• Maintain clean, organized loading, storage, and staging areas
• Assist with inventory counts and chemical tracking systems
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to support daily operations

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience in chemical handling, industrial manufacturing, or tanker loading preferred
• Forklift certification a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable working with chemicals, pumps, valves, and transfer equipment
• Safety-focused, reliable, and able to work in a physically demanding environment
• Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb stairs, and work in indoor/outdoor industrial settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
