HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the Industrial Services industry in Portsmouth, VA!

Salary: $28-$40 per hour

Shift: 2nd

Location: Portsmouth, VA

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with repairing, maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on all industrial equipment.
• Resolve safety concerns promptly to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform indoor and outdoor housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Monitor inventory supplies and maintain detailed maintenance records.
• Read and interpret maintenance literature and blueprints to ensure proper repairs.
• Work as part of a team to ensure seamless operation of the facility.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or military.
• Ability to read maintenance literature and blueprints.
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
• Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8-hour shift.
• Preferred: Knowledge of boilers, HVAC experience, and welding skills (MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing).
