Salary: $65,000–$80,000 + 5% bonus (flexibility for the right candidate)

Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (occasional off-shift support)

About the Role

This role supports HR operations at a union food manufacturing facility with approximately 260 employees. The HR Generalist partners closely with the HR Manager to support recruiting, employee relations, payroll, onboarding, and HR compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage recruiting, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring coordination
• Lead onboarding and new employee orientation processes
• Support employee relations and assist managers with HR policy guidance
• Process payroll and maintain employee records and HR documentation
• Administer benefits programs and support employee benefit inquiries
• Manage leave programs including FMLA and return-to-work tracking
• Assist with HR reporting, compliance, and HR system administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
• Union manufacturing environment experience preferred
• Strong experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office
• Experience in employee relations, payroll, recruiting, and leave management
• PHR or SPHR certification a plus
