PENETRANT INSPECTOR (FPI / MPI LEVEL II) - 3RD SHIFT

Watertown, WI (between Milwaukee and Madison) | Full-time, direct hire

Schedule: 3rd Shift 9p-5a, Sunday night through Friday morning | start times have some flexibility

Pay: $23.44 to $28.23/hour depending on experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A precision investment casting manufacturer serving aerospace, defense and energy customers is adding a certified Penetrant Inspector to its Nadcap-accredited NDT department. You will inspect critical castings built to customer and military specifications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Perform liquid penetrant and magnetic particle inspection of castings as required by customer or military specifications, the purchase order, shop card or blueprint

- Make accept/reject decisions on castings against the required specifications

- Maintain the penetrant and magnetic particle inspection areas, inspection booths and equipment

- Report non-conforming material issues to the Quality Manager

- Keep accurate logs of all inspections performed and process logs

- Assist other Quality functions and work in other areas as needed

WHAT YOU NEED

- Certified to SNT-TC-1A Level II (penetrant / magnetic particle) by a qualified Level III. Required

- High school diploma or equivalent experience

- Strong math, measurement and analytical skills

- Works well closely with others

- Expect up to three months to fully learn site procedures and quality standards
