HiFyve is hiring a Machine Shop Lead in the manufacturing industry in Roseville, MN!

Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)

Shift: Day Shift, Monday - Friday

Location: Roseville, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of a highly efficient machine shop with a mixture of old and new CNC machines.
• Collaborate with the team to bring new equipment online and integrate it into production.
• Serve as a hands-on leader, working directly on the shop floor alongside team members.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, including 5-axis HAAS machines.
• Utilize CAD (Inventor) and CAM software for programming and design tasks.
• Troubleshoot and maintain CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Train and mentor team members in machining, programming, and safety practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance shop productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor production schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and to specification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation, with expertise in HAAS 5-axis machines.
• Strong background in CAD (Inventor) and CAM software.
• Solid understanding of machining principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work hands-on and set an example for the team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in leadership or readiness to step into a leadership role.
