Manufacturer of metal stampings, wire forms, and welded assemblies is looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join their team.
Location: St. Louis, MO
Shift/Schedule: 1st, 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $28.25 - $33.50 (depending on experience)
Summary: Repair existing, and build new fixtures, jigs, dies or gages. Must be able to troubleshoot tooling while working in conjunction in a team environment Position includes but not limited to:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Build, repair, and maintain tooling and dies for production processes
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes and designs
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical degree or certification preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 3+ years of experience working in a tool fabrication environment
- Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings
- Able to work independently and with other machinists and engineer
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
