Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description

Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of air moving systems utilizing Computer Aided Design, CAD, during the design process.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop air-moving systems using CAD software and other engineering tools to meet project goals.
• Manage and coordinate the full product development process, ensuring designs are completed on time and meet technical specifications.
• Contribute to product strategy, research, development, and manufacturing efforts for new or updated equipment.
• Collaborate closely with teams from Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Operations to align product designs with customer needs and market demands.
• Continuously monitor the progress of products through their life cycle to ensure objectives are achieved effectively.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor of Science – Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 2 - 3+ years of experience in product development utilizing CAD software
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar
• Sheet Metal Fabrication experience is required
• FEA experience is required (Finite Element Analysis)
• CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is preferred but not required
