HiFyve is hiring a Senior CNC Programmer in the Manufacturing industry in Washington County, MN!

Pay Rate: $34 – $46 per hour

Shift: 1st shift Monday – Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software based on engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents to understand component dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, materials, and machining techniques based on project and machine requirements.
  • Analyze machining processes to improve efficiency, cycle time, tool life, and surface finish while maintaining quality standards.
  • Simulate toolpaths, verify program accuracy, detect potential collisions, and optimize machining sequences using CAM software.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinists to ensure programs meet technical requirements and production schedules.
  • Generate toolpath programs for mold components and electrodes (3-axis and 5-axis).
  • Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Stay updated on advancements in CNC technology, machining techniques, and software tools.
  • Provide training and guidance to CNC programmers, machinists, and operators.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry specifications.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Additional technical training or certifications in CNC programming preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of experience in CNC programming
  • Proficient in CAM software (Mastercam, Cam Tool) and understanding of blueprint reading
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Technical mathematical skills and basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to perform daily tasks safely and lift 10–20 lbs as needed

Preferred Experience:

  • Component or mold manufacturing experience
  • Experience mentoring or training team members
  • Continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
  • Working in high-precision machining or injection molding environments
