INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - DAY SHIFT

Newmanstown, PA direct hire

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (four 12-hour shifts)

Pay: $26.35/hour base + $2.65/hour premium for 12-hour shifts = $29.00/hour to start; range up to $34.95/hour depending on experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A family-owned plastics manufacturer that turns recycled plastic into durable plastic lumber and building products is adding an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at its Newmanstown, PA plant. Four-day work week, steady day schedule, and a company with decades of history in sustainable manufacturing.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Install, repair and maintain production equipment and plant systems

- Perform preventive maintenance and keep equipment running with minimal downtime

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues

- Troubleshoot motor starters, fuses, relays, contacts, VFDs and PLC-controlled equipment

- Read blueprints and schematics; fabricate and weld as needed

- Work independently with limited supervision and document work completed

WHAT YOU NEED

- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (plastics or extrusion a plus)

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

- Basic industrial electrical knowledge: starters, fuses, relays, contacts, electrical installation and troubleshooting

- VFD and PLC / industrial automation experience preferred

- Hydraulics, blueprint reading and welding

- Ability to climb, lift and work 12-hour shifts; overtime as needed
