HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain, inspect, repair, and test all plant equipment, machinery, and building operational systems.
Train employees on proper equipment operation procedures and respond to questions as needed.
Design and fabricate new equipment and accessories in support of maintenance functions.
Perform routine inspections and cleaning of plant and building equipment.
Respond to emergency maintenance work orders and repair equipment as necessary.
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to diagnose and determine repair solutions.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance preventative maintenance procedures.
Assist with fabrication projects including welding, cutting, and drilling activities.
Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and maintenance activities.
Submit timely progress reports on maintenance projects and communicate updates to affected departments.
Replace machine parts as part of maintenance and repair projects.
Consult with Maintenance Supervisors and other personnel regarding maintenance activities and projects.
Participate in company committees, organized activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
Report safety hazards, unsafe conditions, and injuries promptly.
Make recommendations for safety improvements and support a culture of workplace safety.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
At least two years of related technical training required.
Second Class C Boiler License or higher required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum three years of recent manufacturing maintenance experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing maintenance operations, materials, methods, and practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and safe work practices.
Ability to organize and perform complex maintenance activities.
Proficiency with maintenance-related computer applications and general office equipment.
Ability to follow and provide oral and written instructions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to train, mentor, encourage, and develop new maintenance employees.
Ability to promote strong work ethics and employee independence.
Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Experience and Skills Required:
At least three years of recent manufacturing maintenance experience.
Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and machinery.
Experience reading blueprints and schematic drawings.
Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.
Experience maintaining maintenance records and project documentation.
Experience fabricating equipment and performing welding, cutting, and drilling activities.
Experience training and mentoring employees.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell as required.
Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools, controls, and equipment.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
May be exposed to varying weather conditions.
Requires compliance with company safety procedures and use of appropriate safety equipment.
