CNC MACHINIST - 1ST SHIFT

Waupaca, WI (Fox Valley, west of Appleton) | Full-time, direct hire

Schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm

Starting Pay: $23 to $28/hour depending on experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A family-owned component machining and fabrication shop in Waupaca, part of a larger Wisconsin contract manufacturing group, is adding a CNC Machinist to its 1st shift milling department. You will set up, program at the control, and run a wide mix of CNC equipment on precision work to print. Reports to the Production Supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Set tooling and work holding, and program at the machine control on 5-axis, vertical and horizontal mills, lathes, waterjets and horizontal saws

- Read and apply shop orders, drawings and instructions to produce parts to spec

- Check parts with precision measuring tools and keep paper and electronic records

- Handle basic machine upkeep and keep a clean, safe, organized work area

- Work as a team and take part in department improvement projects

WHAT YOU NEED

- 2+ years of CNC setup and programming experience

- Able to read and interpret drawings, choose the right tooling and work holding, and verify conformance with inspection equipment

- Strong math and measuring skills

- Dependable attendance and good communication

- Preferred, not required: Mazak programming and advanced GD&T
