Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, modify, and maintain manufacturing processes and equipment under the direction of the VP of Engineering.
- Support the production department by analyzing manufacturing processes and identifying root causes of issues.
- Provide analysis and direction to resolve quality and process control problems in existing production.
- Introduce new processes to improve product quality and production efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and analyze technical processes and systems to enhance manufacturing operations.
- Improve and document existing processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve manufacturing problems to maintain smooth operations.
- Recommend process improvements to maximize efficiency in personnel and space utilization.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to support production and maintenance teams.
- Set up machines, assist with equipment failure resolution, and address product specification deviations.
- Inspect parts during production to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Support company goals and maintain alignment with organizational objectives.
- Maintain professional conduct when working with leadership, colleagues, and production personnel.
- Oversee care and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and departmental office equipment.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external business contacts.
- Handle confidential information related to manufacturing processes, patents, and company data in accordance with company policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of a four-year degree in an engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in metal fabrication and welded assemblies preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering theory and manufacturing techniques.
- Familiarity with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to develop and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Effective time and material management to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.
- Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse teams.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments and with customers.
