Description

• Work with licensed engineers to develop skills and knowledge.

• Learn building codes and design practices.

• Lay out equipment in spaces to meet project needs (lighting, fire alarm, receptacles etc.)

• Do photometrics and work with the software for preliminary lighting layouts.

• Work with mechanical engineers to pick up power for their equipment.

• Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

• Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

• Operate engineering software to solve specific problems, and inputs the data required by the program.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in relevant design program (CAD, Architectural Design, BIM, etc.) or equal relevant experience.

• Experience with Revit preferred.
