Private Client Solicitor sought to join the Estates Team of a leading regional law firm.

The Opportunity

Spirehouse is working with a respected firm with a strong presence across the West Midlands to recruit within their Estate Administration Team.

The firm are known for providing exceptional legal services to businesses and individuals, and a supportive, down-to-earth culture.

The Role

• To take responsibility for a varied caseload of estate files to include taxable and non-taxable estates.
• Manage estates that are often high in value and that include trust structures e.g. discretionary wills, and life interest trust wills.
• Preparation of IHT returns and inheritance tax allowances to include the nil rate band and the transferable nil rate band.
• Maintenance and preparation of estate accounts.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE
• Good working knowledge of the Probate Registry systems & Inland Revenue processes and procedures
• Working understanding of will validity and interpretation.
