Solicitor – PI & Clinical Negligence | Birmingham | Hybrid | 12-Month FTC


Ready to bring your PI or Clinical Negligence experience to a supportive, purpose-driven legal team?

If you're a Solicitor with experience in Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded specialist law firm on a 12-month maternity cover.

You'll manage a varied caseload across PI, Clinical Negligence and Claims Against Public Authorities, working closely with clients, medical experts and opposing parties to deliver high-quality legal advice and outcomes.


The Opportunity


Working as part of a close-knit and collaborative team, you'll manage your own caseload while building strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of PI and Clinical Negligence matters.
  • Advising clients and providing clear, timely legal advice.
  • Handling Claims Against Public Authorities claims.
  • Taking client instructions and drafting legal documents.
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients, opponents and medical experts.
  • Negotiating with opposing parties to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation.
  • Managing client expectations throughout the litigation process.


Requirements


  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in PI or Clinical Negligence.
  • Experience of Claims Against Public Authorities, Abuse or Human Rights litigation would be advantageous.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercially aware, flexible and able to manage a varied caseload.
