SEND/ Education Lawyer (Locum)

Type: Full time

Duration: 3 months initially, with likely extension

Hourly rate: £60–£70 p/hr (inside IR35)

Location: East Midlands

Working pattern: Remote

Spirehouse are recruiting a locum SEND Lawyer on behalf of a local authority in the East Midlands.

The Opportunity

This is a fully remote, full-time contract role available to start as soon as possible, initially for three months with the expectation of ongoing extension.

You will advise on and conduct SEND Tribunal proceedings, provide legal advice on law, policy, strategy and procedure relating to SEND issues, and advise on Judicial Reviews. You will also act as a lead within the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX lawyer
• Experience in SEND law, including SEND Tribunal proceedings
• Ability to take a lead role and support other team members
