Job Title: ALM / Codebeamer Consultant

Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 base (dependent on experience)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced ALM Consultant to support organizations implementing and optimizing Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions. This role focuses on hands-on configuration, process consulting, and customer engagement across complex product development environments.
The consultant will help clients improve requirements management, traceability, compliance, and delivery efficiency through effective ALM implementations. Experience with Codebeamer ALM is strongly preferred, though candidates with deep experience across other enterprise ALM platforms are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation, configuration, and customization of ALM platforms
- Analyze product development and engineering workflows and translate them into effective ALM solutions
- Configure requirements management, change management, test management, and traceability
- Advise clients on ALM best practices, governance, and lifecycle optimization
- Support digital thread initiatives connecting requirements, design, development, testing, and verification
- Assist with integrations across ALM, PLM, and DevOps ecosystems
- Deliver client workshops, training sessions, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory, and IT stakeholders
- Support data migration, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide subject-matter expertise on complex customer engagements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with ALM platforms in an implementation or consulting role
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and deploying ALM solutions
- Solid understanding of product development lifecycles (software, systems, or regulated products)
- Experience consulting with clients on process design and tool adoption
- Knowledge of requirements management, traceability, verification and validation, and change control
- Strong communication skills and comfort in customer-facing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Codebeamer ALM
- Background in regulated industries such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or defense
- Experience supporting digital thread or digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with PLM systems, DevOps pipelines, or systems engineering tools
- Prior professional services or consulting experience
Nice to Have
- Scripting or configuration extensions within ALM platforms
- Experience migrating from legacy ALM tools
- Certifications related to ALM, systems engineering, or product development
