Job Title: Finance Associate Attorney

Compensation: $260,000 - $390,000

About the Role:

A nationally ranked finance practice is seeking a mid-level associate to join its fast-growing Charlotte office. Since launching just a few years ago, this team has become a key regional hub for the firm’s finance work, representing both lenders and borrowers in complex transactions totaling hundreds of billions in value.

You’ll work closely with Chambers-ranked partners on high-end deals across syndicated lending, private credit, fund finance, energy, and project finance. The office combines the resources of a national platform with the feel of a boutique team—offering direct client interaction, strong mentorship, and leadership runway.

Practice Areas Include:

• Leveraged finance, asset-based lending, and acquisition financings
• Subscription and capital commitment facilities for funds and PE sponsors
• DIP financing, recapitalizations, and restructurings
• Fund finance, management fee lines, and NAV facilities
• Industry-specific transactions in healthcare, aviation, media, and energy

Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of experience in lender-side or borrower-side finance at a law firm
• Familiarity with syndicated credit facilities and private credit transactions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client management skills
• Admission to the North Carolina Bar preferred (or eligibility to waive in)
