Location: New York, NY

Seniority Level: Mid to Senior Associate (4–7 years preferred)

Compensation: Highly competitive, Am Law 50 scale

Work Arrangement: 3/2 hybrid schedule

About the Role:

A leading global law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Corporate Real Estate group in New York. This practice sits at the intersection of real estate, finance, and corporate law—handling some of the most sophisticated and deal-critical real estate transactions in the market.

The team represents institutional lenders, private equity sponsors, asset managers, and developers in large-scale transactions involving both debt and equity, including joint ventures, financings, workouts, and recapitalizations. You'll work alongside Chambers-ranked partners and contribute to a platform known for integration across corporate, tax, capital markets, and restructuring.

Key Transaction Areas:

  • Lender-side and borrower-side real estate finance (senior, mezzanine, preferred equity)
  • Equity joint ventures, platform investments, and partner negotiations
  • Acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations across asset classes (office, industrial, data centers, multifamily, retail, etc.)
  • Distressed real estate and restructuring scenarios involving complex financial structuring
  • Cross-border and securitized deals, often in collaboration with the firm’s corporate, tax, and capital markets teams

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3-7 years of experience in real estate finance or corporate real estate transactions at a leading law firm
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills in financing and joint venture documentation
  • Familiarity with large, institutional-level real estate transactions
  • Collaborative approach and interest in cross-disciplinary deal execution
  • Admission to the New York Bar required

Why Apply:

  • Join a Chambers-ranked real estate practice with national and global visibility
  • Work on sophisticated, high-value transactions with top-tier institutional clients
  • Gain exposure to cross-practice deals involving restructuring, capital markets, and fund finance
