Labor & Employment Associate – Sacramento, CA


Compensation: Up to $360,000 base salary, depending on experience

Location: On-site in Sacramento, with flexible hybrid options available



A nationally ranked employer-side litigation team is seeking a mid-level associate for its Sacramento office. This group offers a mix of class action defense, individual claims, labor relations, and workplace counseling—all within a strong California-focused practice.

Attorneys in this office handle complex federal and state employment matters with hands-on client exposure and access to a deep national platform. This role is ideal for associates who want impactful litigation experience in a collegial, trial-ready environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend employers in wage-and-hour, PAGA, and discrimination class actions
  • Represent clients in single-plaintiff cases involving wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation
  • Handle matters before the DFEH, DLSE, NLRB, EEOC, and OSHA
  • Counsel clients on compliance, risk prevention, and internal investigations
  • Support accessibility defense under ADA Title III


Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of employment litigation experience
  • Strong familiarity with California labor and employment law
  • Prior class action or agency defense work preferred
  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Admission to the California Bar
