Labor & Employment Associate – New York, NY

Location: Hybrid in Lower Manhattan (3 WTC), with hybrid flexibility

Salary: $250,000 - $290,000

JD Years: 2018 - 2021


A nationally recognized employer-side labor and employment team is hiring a mid-level associate for its New York office. The group handles a full range of employment litigation and counseling matters for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to high-growth startups.

Associates here work on high-impact litigation, day-to-day HR advisory, and strategic labor matters. The team also offers strong mentorship and cross-office collaboration, including with cross-border clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour claims
  • Handle class and collective actions under FLSA, NYLL, and ERISA
  • Advise clients on employee handbooks, compliance audits, workplace investigations, and training
  • Represent clients in NLRB matters and collective bargaining negotiations
  • Assist with trade secret enforcement and restrictive covenant litigation


Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience in labor and employment law
  • Background in both litigation and client counseling preferred
  • Experience with class actions, wage/hour, or trade secrets a plus
  • Licensed to practice in New York
