Title: Associate Attorney – Tort Litigation

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Salary: $150,000 - $185,000


Job Opportunity

A prominent national litigation firm with over 300 attorneys across multiple offices seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Las Vegas, Nevada team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience handling Tort matters.


Practice Overview:

The firm’s Tort and Catastrophic Loss team represents corporations and insurance companies in:

  • General liability disputes.
  • Professional liability cases.
  • The firm also serves as national and coordinating counsel for various carriers and corporations, handling complex litigation matters nationwide.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial case analysis and develop effective strategies.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare legal motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients at hearings and provide court appearances as needed.
  • Advise clients on legal options, risks, and potential outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in alternative dispute resolution.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Nevada and in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years of tort litigation experience.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.
  • Technological proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage or OneDrive is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding billable hour requirements.
