Our client is seeking a Commodity Manager to oversee grain procurement, co-product movement, and related activities. This role is based in the Twin Cities Metro and focuses on sourcing strategy, risk oversight, and coordination of daily operations to maintain consistent production and optimize results.

Responsibilities

• Source corn from suppliers at competitive values based on prevailing market conditions
• Build and maintain relationships with producers and commercial partners with emphasis on direct grower engagement
• Report purchase activity as directed to support alignment with risk management guidelines
• Review hedge activity for accuracy and proper execution
• Ensure grain purchase agreements are completed and returned
• Expand and update network of producer and commercial contacts
• Track and communicate regional grain flow activity to support market awareness
• Oversee scale operations to ensure accurate grading, sample retention, and issue resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline
• Two or more years of experience in grain procurement with strong industry understanding
• Prior leadership experience preferred
• Proficiency in spreadsheet, document, and email software along with general office systems
• Experience with grain accounting platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication ability
• Solid numerical and analytical capability
• Ability to manage relationships, negotiate terms, resolve issues, and handle multiple priorities effectively
