Our client is seeking a transportation leader to oversee daily logistics operations supporting movement of agricultural products and related materials. This role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient coordination of equipment, personnel, and freight activity across a multi-regional network

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and develop dispatch and driving personnel to meet operational objectives
• Promote and sustain a safety-focused and professional team environment
• Maintain fleet lists and manage equipment rotation planning
• Coordinate with vendors to define truck configurations and procure new units
• Partner with service providers to plan and manage vehicle repairs
• Oversee departmental expenditures and align performance with financial targets
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements at state and national levels
• Lead routine meetings focused on safety and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience leading large teams with approximately 40 direct reports
• Background in dispatching, transportation coordination, or fleet oversight required
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities with solid organizational skills
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-activity environment
• Familiarity with business software tools and transportation management systems
• Understanding of regulatory standards governing commercial transportation
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance and occasionally travel within the country
