Our client is seeking a senior commercial and technical leader to support automation solution development and customer engagement across feed, grain, and agronomy related operations. This role combines industry expertise, relationship management, and technical advisory responsibilities to guide system design, project planning, and territory growth.
Responsibilities
- Act as a senior advisor to customers and partners by supporting capital planning and delivering technical insights
- Engage with engineering partners during early project phases to influence system design and solution inclusion
- Provide guidance on automation systems by reviewing process flows, control strategies, and integration approaches
- Execute a regional business plan to expand accounts and generate new opportunities across target sectors
- Maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for upgrades and operational improvements
- Prepare proposals, system documentation, and process-related materials tailored to customer needs
- Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to align on project execution and solution delivery
- Capture and communicate customer feedback, market trends, and development opportunities to leadership
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in feed, agronomy, grain, or industrial environments with involvement in construction, upgrades, and system implementation
- Post-secondary education in an agriculture or related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Strong technical knowledge of automation systems including controls, instrumentation, and material handling processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as electrical diagrams, process flows, and system layouts
- Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels
- Proficiency with business software tools and customer relationship management platforms
- Willingness to travel regularly within a defined territory
- Ability to perform physical tasks in industrial environments and maintain required licensing for travel
