Position: Civil Engineering Leader PE

Location: Tiverton or Narragansett, RI

Pay: $80-120 per hour

Contract: 6-12 Months

Start: ASAP

2-5 days a week



We are currently looking for a Senior Civil Project Engineer, P.E., who is looking to work for a small dynamic firm with clients of all sizes. We are hiring a bunch of new folks and looking for a PE that is wanting to work with greener folks to help/coach/develop them to become success quicker. We are open to part time or full time.As a small firm, the ideal candidate must be willing to dive into different projects and help the engineers spearhead them, from start to finish.



Project Engineer Job Description:


Civil Project Engineer Responsibilities:

⦁ Design site development plans for a variety of projects including wastewater management, drainage, residential and commercial land development, environmental and coastal permitting, and dock design.

⦁ Produce comprehensive plans and reports, along with other essential project documentation.

⦁ Collaborate closely with regulatory agencies, clients, and sub-consultants to facilitate and complete the project.

⦁ Employ AutoCAD Civil 3D to create grading plans, profiles, road designs, and intricate details

⦁ Thoroughly research regulatory prerequisites and design standards.

⦁ Execute intricate calculations for stormwater facilities, utility systems, and roadway enhancements

⦁ Foster seamless collaboration with drafters, designers, and administrative personnel to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within budget

Civil Project Engineer Qualifications:

⦁ Possession of a Rhode Island State PE license

⦁ A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in local site development design, with a strong preference for those with a background in residential development

⦁ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with a strong preference for those with a proficiency in HydroCAD.

·     Proficiency in land development and state regulations.

·     Ability to multi-task and complete different time-sensitive projects at once.

·     Ability to lead and work in a team environment.

·     History of client communications as well as town/state communications and interactions.

·     Strong writing/grammar skills and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with architects, builders and owners.

·     Detail oriented
