Position Overview:

We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent with multifamily renovation experience to join our General Contracting team. The Superintendent will be responsible for on-site management of renovation projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel—particularly in occupied multifamily properties where resident experience must be carefully managed. The initial project will be in the San Fransisco Bay area, the company is headquartered in Texas, and following projects will predominantly be in Texas, California, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, or Washington.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Oversight

  • Supervise all day-to-day field operations for multifamily renovation projects (unit interiors, common areas, amenities, exteriors, and building systems).
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with project plans, specifications, codes, and company standards.
  • Monitor progress against schedules and proactively address delays, conflicts, and issues.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce job site safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and site inspections to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure subcontractors follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulations.

Communication & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, property managers, ownership, and residents.
  • Provide regular progress updates, daily logs, and weekly reports to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate access to units with property management for occupied renovations.
  • Support the resolution of field issues and change orders in collaboration with the project team.

Quality Control

  • Inspect work for quality, workmanship, and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct punch walks and oversee completion of punch lists.
  • Ensure all turnover deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of construction supervision experience, with at least 2+ years in multifamily OR commercial renovation or capital improvement projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Experience managing occupied-unit renovations and coordinating work in active multifamily communities.
  • Proven ability to lead subcontractors and manage multiple trades simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or similar) preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
