We’re a growing construction company looking for a Safety Director who brings energy, ownership, and leadership to the role. This is not a clipboard position. We want someone who sees safety as a business driver, takes command in the field, and enjoys building systems that actually work.
This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on solving problems, influencing teams, and leaving things better than they found them.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and evolve a comprehensive safety strategy across active construction projects
- Serve as a visible, trusted authority in the field—coaching teams, setting standards, and holding the line
- Partner with executive leadership to embed safety into day-to-day operations and decision-making
- Use data and field observations to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and deliver training that is practical, relevant, and respected in the field
- Investigate incidents and near misses, determine root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations
- Drive a safety culture where people take pride in doing things the right way
Who We’re Looking For
- A leader with command presence and the ability to influence without relying on title alone
- Someone who is passionate about safety and takes it personally
- A strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves when needed
- A problem-solver who enjoys building, refining, and owning programs
- A professional who earns credibility in the field and trust at the leadership level
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of safety experience in construction, including leadership responsibility
- Deep knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
- Proven experience implementing and improving safety programs
- Comfortable using data and metrics to drive decisions
- Experience with modern construction platforms and safety systems is a plus
Why This Role
- You’ll have the opportunity to make it your own
- Direct access to leadership and real influence on how the business operates
- A company that values accountability, initiative, and continuous improvement
- The chance to build something meaningful, not just maintain what exists
