We are hiring for CAD Drafters in Sarasota, this is a permanent full time position where you will prepare site plan drawings for various commercial and residential projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 1+ year of experience preparing site plans and engineering drawings
• Experience Autodesk Civil 3D
• Sketchup & Bluebeam experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Maximize sq footage on site drawings based on information provided by right to build, design, leasing team.
• Prepare site layout plans for jobs following municipal code requirements from information provided to include sketches, surveys, aerial mapping and GIS data.
• Present project to leadership. Assist in resolving issues with construction issues such as surveying, engineering, and environmental issues.
• Analyze various design requirements including landscape buffers, building setbacks and recommend possible solutions or alternate construction.
• Make changes for all site plan revisions at the request of leasing, construction personnel and executives. Review aerial or site drawings and prepare site plans for retail, commercial, and industrial buildings. Also assist in completion of dimension control plans as needed.
• Perform field visits to evaluate sites for conceptual planning from time to time.
• Evaluate zoning, and environmental code requirements
• Prepare architectural plans for hardscape and site amenity designs. Assist in the generation of building façade and various design projects through Sketchup and other modeling programs.
