Sr. Quality Inspector, Electronics/PCBA Inspector – $40–$50/hr

Overview

An innovative aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Sr. Quality Inspector to join their fast-paced quality assurance team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the reliability and precision of advanced electronic assemblies that will shape the future of transportation. You’ll perform hands-on inspections, utilize advanced testing equipment, and help drive world-class standards in production quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on supplied Electronic/PCBA parts
• Set up and operate 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment
• Verify compliance with engineering drawings, process specifications, and industry standards (e.g., IPC-610)
• Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, pin gauges, etc.) for inspections
• Document and report nonconformance following MRB process
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and generate reports in compliance with SAE AS9102

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of electronics assembly manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of 3D AOI equipment and procedures
• Strong comprehension of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards (certification preferred)
• Understanding of traceability (product, material, calibration)
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Keyence, CMM, OMM, Faro Arm, or Romer Arm
• Familiarity with digital X-Ray inspections
• Proficiency with Polyworks
• Ability to program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines
• Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements
• Understanding of basic statistical process control (SPC) methods
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector certification
