UX/Product Designer (Design Systems) Remote
Location: Remote
Rate: $53/hr (Weekly pay + Medical Benefits)
Duration: 3–4 month contract (Excellent potential for extension)
Hours: Full-time M-F (8am–5pm your time zone)

The Design & Research teams translate learner, educator, and enterprise user insights into actionable recommendations that help create a seamless experience across the platform. This role will focus on learner-facing visual design and design systems, creating intuitive, polished user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Work through design problems end-to-end, translating research insights and concepts into delightful user experiences, including workflows, visual design, and detailed interactions.
- Drive design during ambiguous phases, mapping business and customer needs to define the vision for key initiatives.
- Design experiences that are globally scalable, inclusive, and equitable for all users.
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, content strategists, and researchers to create products from definition to shipping.
- Advocate for the user and influence design decisions across teams.
- Focus on responsive web design, design systems, and visual design (animation, layering, interactions).
Basic Qualifications:
- 4–8 years of experience as a UX/Product Designer
- 4-8 years of experience in system design
- Strong experience in responsive web design and building scalable design systems
- Proven ability to design accessible web-based experiences across desktop and mobile
- Expertise in creating responsive web experiences that adapt seamlessly to mobile devices (not native apps)
- Experience with visual design (animation) layering, interactions etc
- Must have a polished and clear portfolio on your resume, showcasing high-quality UX work.
- Requires design capabilities from UX design to visual design.
- Solid UX design skills: user flows, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.
- Able to collaborate effectively with PMs, engineers, and designers.
- Experience conducting user research to inform design and MVP development.
- Experience to apply visual design skills while using a UI pattern library/design system.
- Requires ability to learn quickly and hit the ground running.
- Proficient with Figma and GSuite (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
- Experience designing accessible web-based experiences.
- Bonus: Experience with LLM design
- Bonus: Experience with learner-facing visual design
- Bonus: Experience with AI tools for design work
