Job Title: Program Manager IV – Retail Business Planning (Contract)

Payrate: $104/hour

Location: Remote (Bay Area candidates only)

Duration: 6-month assignment


Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Program Manager to lead the integration and execution of Small & Medium Business (SMB) initiatives within a retail ecosystem. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage complex programs, drive cross-functional alignment, and leverage data-driven insights to influence senior leadership.

The ideal candidate is highly independent, thrives in fast-paced environments, and brings strong problem-solving skills to enhance both customer and employee experiences.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end program management, including strategic planning, execution, and action tracking
  • Facilitate key meetings such as weekly working sessions, business reviews, and leadership updates
  • Prepare and support senior leadership presentations and business case materials
  • Maintain high-quality program documentation, trackers, and communications
  • Independently manage and prioritize urgent requests based on strategic impact
  • Drive integration of SMB initiatives across retail by developing scalable frameworks and workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align priorities and ensure seamless execution
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and program budgets
  • Use data and business insights to build compelling narratives that influence decision-making
  • Engage with both technical and field teams to drive alignment and execution


What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in program management or management consulting
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across diverse teams
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present clear, concise insights
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and operational rigor
  • Ability to build relationships quickly while maintaining appropriate boundaries

  • Experience working with Small & Medium Business (SMB) programs
  • Experience within retail environments or customer-facing business models
  • Familiarity with field sales organizations or direct-to-customer sales models
  • Experience working within large, matrixed organizations
